Description
Ashfield Grange is an early 19th-century house located on the south side of Station Road in Copmanthorpe. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has a central staircase hall plan and stands two storeys high with three bays. The central entrance is a recessed glazed door set within a panelled surround, which is framed by a pilastered doorcase topped with a frieze and a modillion hood. The windows throughout the house are sashes with glazing bars, set in flush wood architraves and positioned under cambered arches made of gauged brick. At the rear, there is a four-panel door in a doorcase that has a dentil pediment supported by console brackets. The staircase window is a 12-pane sash with a radial head.
