Description

Oak Lea is a house dating from 1703, with a plaque bearing the inscription "THOMAS WAKEFIELD AND MARGARET HIS WIFE 1703." The house is constructed of rendered brick with a pantile roof. It has an outshut to the rear. The building is two storeys high, originally with two first-floor windows. A 20th-century entrance porch, which interrupts a stepped band on the first floor, has been added. The windows are 20th-century casements. The gable ends are finished with rendered brick coping, and there are end stacks. The building is included in the listing for its group value.
