Description

This is a house dating to approximately 1700, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of rendered and colourwashed brick, with brick outshuts to the right and rear, and has a pantile roof. The house is arranged around a central entrance hall. It is two storeys high and originally comprised three bays, defined by full-height brick pilasters. The front entrance features a 6-panel door, topped by an oblong fanlight within a moulded brick doorcase. There are four-pane sash windows in flush wood architraves, and with stone cills. A moulded band runs along the first floor, with further moulded detail below the windows, which is now largely concealed. A brick eaves band is present, along with a wooden modillion eaves band. The roof is hipped, with end stacks. The interior was only partially inspected, but likely contains a late 17th/early 18th century open well staircase with turned balusters.
