Description
This building is a brewery warehouse, constructed around 1875 for Hotham and Co, Brewers. It is made of cream brown brick in English garden-wall bond, featuring orange brick bands, dressings, and a cogged and moulded brick eaves frieze and cornice. The roof is slate with skylights.
The exterior consists of three storeys on a chamfered basement plinth and has nine bays. There is an arcade of blind segmental-arched recesses between full-height pilasters. To the right of the centre, there are boarded double doors, and to the left of the centre, there are inserted glazed doors accessed by a ramp. A bay further to the left features a full-height gabled lucam. The windows vary in type, including two 10-pane casements, two 2-pane Yorkshire sashes, and one 6-pane hung sash, all with segmental brick arches.
On the left return, there are three stepped segmental arched recesses with 10-pane casement windows that have painted sills and segmental arches. The gable end displays a cogged and moulded brick frieze and cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
