Description

No. 9 Main Street is a late 18th-century house with later additions and alterations, including an outshut to the right. The house is constructed of pinkish-brown brick with a pantile roof. It is two storeys high with two first-floor windows. The central entrance has a 4-panel door sheltered by a 20th-century wrought-iron porch. The ground-floor windows are 4-pane and 6-pane Yorkshire sash windows set beneath elliptical arches, while the first-floor windows are similarly glazed with 6-pane sashes beneath head arches. A dentil band runs along the eaves. The roof is swept and has brick coping. There are end stacks.
