Description

The railings, gates, and piers to Heslington Hall, located approximately 30 metres north of the house, date from the mid-19th century. They feature ashlar piers, cast-iron railings, and gates, extending about 20 metres in length with bowed gates. The railings and gates are designed with two levels of rails, and the bars of the railings are topped with finials. The gates include bars and dog-bars, while the piers are adorned with a cornice and decorative caps. These structures are included for their group value.
