Description

This is a monument located next to the east end of St Mary's Church in Askham Richard, dating from 1770. It is signed and dated "MILNE FECIT / MDCCLXX" and commemorates Elizabeth Berry. The monument is made of white marble and sandstone and stands approximately 2 metres high. It features a fluted marble urn decorated with wreaths and Greek key patterns, which is positioned on a broken sandstone column.
