Description
Prospect House is a house built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick and topped with a grey slate roof. The house features a central staircase hall plan and has a low two-storey outshut to the rear left. It stands two storeys high and has three windows on the first floor. Access is via three steps leading to a central six-panel door, which is topped by a fanlight with radial glazing bars. This door is framed by a doorcase with fluted pilasters and caps under an open pediment. The outer bays have 16-pane sash windows, while there is a narrower sash window with 12-pane glazing bars above the door, all set within flush wood architraves. The ground floor windows are positioned under segmental arches, and those on the first floor are under cambered lintels. A wooden eaves band runs along the top, and there are end stacks and a contemporary fall pipe.
