Description

The monument to William Milson is located in the churchyard about 3 metres east of the southeast corner of the chancel at the Church of St Mary. This chest tomb dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and is made of sandstone. It features a flat pyramidal top with a moulded edge, square quarter balusters, and a moulded base. At the time of the survey in November 1983, the monument was heavily overgrown with ivy, but the inscription to William Milson, dated 1810, was still legible.
