Description
The Berry and associated monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St James, 7 metres north of the chancel. This 18th-century tomb is made of limestone and features a corniced table with end and centre pilasters that have decorative foliage, supporting an entablature that divides trefoiled panels. The inscription commemorates Thomas Berry, although the date of death is illegible. Adjacent to the south is a white marble columnar monument on an offset base, topped with a cornice and a draped urn finial, dedicated to Isaac Berry, who died in 1879, along with his family.
