Description
Thealby Grange Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse, with later 19th- and 20th-century additions and alterations. It is constructed of squared oolite limestone with a brick plinth, gables, and stacks, ashlar coping, and stone kneelers. A rear extension is built of ironstone rubble with brick dressings. The roof is covered in pantiles. The building is L-shaped, with later extensions to the rear.
The symmetrical front elevation has two storeys and three first-floor windows. A central panelled door is housed within a 1960s doorcase, above which is a rectangular fanlight. The windows are 16-pane sashes with stone cills, set within stucco arches. A flat wooden eaves cornice runs along the roofline. Brick stacks have dentilled cornices. The left return is constructed of similar materials and has two low storeys and two bays.
