Description
No. 7 Main Street is an estate cottage built in the early 19th century for the Normanby Estate. The cottage is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble with brick dressings and stacks, topped with a concrete pantile roof. It is a single-storey building with an attic and features three windows. The corners of the building have quoins. There is a plank door located to the right of the center, with one 12-pane sliding sash window to the right and two to the left. All openings are framed with brick surrounds that have segmental arches. The eaves cornice is dentilled brick, and there are axial and end stacks. The attic includes sliding sash windows in both gables. This building is included partly for its group value.
