Description

The garden railings in front of The Elms date from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. They are made of wrought iron and are set on an ashlar plinth. The railings feature a central gate and baluster-shaped main posts that have scrolled bracket supports and urn finials. The design includes alternating wavy and straight vertical bars topped with pointed and fleur-de-lys finials above a single top rail. These railings are included for their group value.
