Description

This late 18th-century house, now used as offices, has undergone alterations in the late 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and has a slate roof with a single gable stack. The brickwork features chamfered quoins and sill bands, along with modillion wooden eaves. The house is three storeys tall, plus attics, and has a two-window front. The upper floors contain 12-pane sashes with splayed lintels, two 9-pane sashes above those, and two box dormers with 2-light glazing bar casements above again. On the ground floor, to the left, is a wooden doorcase with Doric columns and a dentillated pediment enclosing a rounded arched opening and fanlight. A recessed door was installed in the 20th century. To the right is a late 19th-century wooden shop front with pilasters and curved brackets to the entablature, featuring 20th-century half-glazed folding doors.
