Description

This building is a warehouse located at the south-east corner of Prince's Dock in Kingston upon Hull, dating from around 1830 and 1845. It is constructed of brick with stone sills and features hipped slate roofs. The plinth was rebuilt in the late 20th century. The warehouse is three storeys high and has a double range plan with a total of 35 windows arranged in a 7 by 5 pattern.

Most of the windows are cast-iron glazing bar casements with slight segmental heads. The south front, facing Castle Street, features a central elliptical-arched loft door on the upper floors, flanked by three windows on each floor. On the ground floor, there is a central elliptical-arched carriage entrance with a pair of doors, flanked by single small blocked windows. To the left, there is a similar carriage entrance followed by a blocked window, and to the right, two reglazed windows.

The left return of the building has five bays divided by shallow pilasters, with regular fenestration on the upper floors. The right return features an elliptical-arched loft door on the right side of each upper floor, each flanked to the left by a window. On the ground floor, there are two reglazed windows to the right and a small door to the left, followed by a three-bay section with shallow pilasters and regular fenestration on the upper floors, with two windows to the right and a door with a blank fanlight to the left.
