Description
East End Farmhouse (west) is a house dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of brown brick in Flemish bond, with red brick dressings and quoins, topped by a pantile roof. The house features a central entry and a cross wing at the rear. It has two storeys and three bays, with a hardboard door that includes an overlight. The windows are plate-glass sashes with vertical margin lights, and all openings have flat rubbed brick arches and red brick quoining. There is a three-course band at the first floor and a dentilled eaves course. The gable has coping with shaped kneelers and end stacks. Inside, there is an open-string staircase with two slender column-on-vase balusters per tread, along with six fielded-panel doors, and some cupboard doors that feature H-L hinges.
