Description
The loose boxes, hayloft, and pigeon cote located to the north of Knedlington Hall date from the late 18th century. They are constructed of brick in English bond and topped with a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and is divided into three sections, with a tall central section.
On the left side, there is a four-panel door set beneath a segmental arch, accompanied by two fixed windows also beneath flat brick arches. The central section features a central boarded door beneath a segmental arch, flanked by window openings with segmental arches; the right window is slatted. On the right side, there is another boarded door beneath a segmental arch, with a pair of rectangular vents to its right.
There is a first-floor band, and on the first floor of the central section, there is a fixed window with pigeon openings. The right section has a blocked pitching window. The outer sections have raised gable ends with brick kneelers. This building is included for its group value.
