Description

RISTON CATWICK LANE TA 14 SW (west side) Long Riston 2/30 Manor House GV II Farmhouse. Early C18 ground floor with early C19 first floor and later additions and alterations. Pinkish-brown brick in English garden wall bond to ground floor with pinkish-yellow brick to first floor in similar bond, with red brick dressings and pantile roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays with range to rear. Entrance to third bay a plank door with overlight with vertical glazing bars. 4-pane sashes with stone sills throughout. Openings to ground floor under flat arches of gauged brick. Modillion eaves cornice. Brick copings, end stacks. Tumbled-in brickwork to gable ends. Interior has inserted and cut-down Neoclassical pine fireplace.
