Description
No 31 and 31A are two shops with dwellings above, built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of stucco and topped with a Welsh slate roof. This corner property is positioned at an oblique angle, with No 31 facing Market Place and No 31A facing Vicar Lane. The building has three storeys, each featuring one first-floor window on both facades. The oblique angle is accentuated by rusticated quoins. No 31 has a late 20th-century shop front with a half-glazed door to the left, while No 31A has a 20th-century shop front with a central door. The first floor is adorned with 16-pane sash windows, and the second floor features unequally hung 9-pane sashes. The gutter is supported by paired brackets, and the roof is hipped. There are no notable internal features. The building is included for its group value.
