Description
The Board Inn is a public house located on the east side of Howden Market Place, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of stucco with a pantile roof and stands three storeys tall with two bays. It features rusticated quoins and has a late 19th-century timber frontage. The entrance includes a board door set beneath an overlight, all within a pilastered doorcase topped with a segmental pediment. This entrance is flanked by fixed windows that have glazing bars. There is an entrance to a side passage on the right side of the building.
On the first floor, there are tripartite sash windows with glazing bars, while the second floor has unequally hung tripartite sashes with 9 and 3 panes. The roof has gable coping, plain kneelers, and end stacks. The interior has not been inspected but is reported to contain no features of interest.
