Description

The White Horse is a public house located in Howden Market Place, dating from the late 18th century with later alterations. The building features a stucco ground floor and rendered brick above, topped with a Welsh slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has four bays. The third bay contains a 20th-century door with an overlight. The ground and first floors have plate-glass sash windows, with a band separating the two levels, while the second floor features squat casements. The eaves are dentilled, and the roof is hipped to the right with a stack at the left end. The rear facade displays a double gable with a round-headed staircase window that has thick Gothick glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
