Description

This is a terrace of four cottages located on the north side of West End in Swanland, likely built in the early to mid-18th century. The cottages are constructed of brick, finished with a colour wash, and feature pantiled roofs. They are single-storey with attics and have a four-window front. There are four boarded doors. On the left, there is a two-light sliding sash window with glazing bars and louvred shutters; in the center, there is a similar sash window with shutters. To the right, there are two sliding sash windows with glazing bars. The cottages have a stepped brick eaves cornice and three swept dormers: the center dormer contains a two-light casement window, while the outer two dormers have sliding sashes with glazing bars. The raised gables feature tumbled-in brick, and there are end and axial stacks.
