Description
Nos 10 and 12 on Wellington Road are late 18th century buildings that stand three storeys tall, constructed of brick with a rendered plinth and rusticated stone quoins. They feature bands at the cill levels and above the lowest storey. The buildings have four windows, with painted voussoirs on the first and ground floors. The ground floor window of No 12 has been enlarged. There are two doorways separated by a semi-circular-headed passage archway, with doorcases that include reeded pilasters, a reeded frieze, and a small cornice. Both doorways have semi-circular fanlights, although the bars have been replaced on No 10. The soffit and jambs are panelled, and the doors consist of six fielded panels. Nos 6 to 12 form a group, with No 6 noted for its local interest.
