Description

Nos 17 and 17A on the Promenade are 18th century buildings that stand two storeys tall and are rough rendered with a steep pantile roof. The façade features one canted bay and one window, both lacking glazing bars and fitted with modern shutters. The shop front dates from the 19th century and has been modernized. A late 18th century 'Bridlington' doorway is notable for its grooved pilasters, paterae, and an open dentil pediment. The door itself consists of six fielded panels and is topped with a semi-circular fanlight, complete with a contemporary knocker. Nos 15, 17, and 17A are part of a group.
