Description
MATERIALS: Brick wall, marble plaques, timber bench.
DESCRIPTION: Lelley war memorial is located on the roadside of Main Street, Lelley. The memorial consists of brick built angled supporting wall with two inset marble plaques and bench seating running between. The left hand plaque commemorates the fallen of the First World War and reads: LELLEY/ ROLL OF HONOUR/ FOR THOSE WHO SERVED IN THE GREAT WAR OF/ 1914-1919/ (NAMES). The right hand plaque commemorates the fallen of the Second World War and reads: LELLEY/ ROLL OF HONOUR/ FOR THOSE WHO SERVED/ IN THE 1939-1945 WAR (NAMES).
