Description
Little Weghill Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1777, with renovations made around 1980. The building is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and has a clay tile roof. It features a double-depth plan with a central entrance hall on the south front, which has two rooms. The farmhouse is two storeys high with an attic and has three symmetrical bays. There is a step leading up to a 20th-century half-glazed door set within an architrave, flanked by two unequal 15-pane flush sash windows. The first floor has 16-pane sash windows. Wrought-iron brackets support the gutter, and the raised gables show tumbled-in brickwork. The end stacks are present, and the returns have ground and first-floor sash windows with glazing bars, along with a 20th-century bow window to the left and blocked attic doors. Inside, the farmhouse features a five-bay pegged pine roof with two tiers of staggered butt purlins and collars that support king posts and raking struts. The date 1777 is inscribed on a brick of the contemporary barn located at the rear, which is not included in the listing.
