1443/4/18 WEGHILL ROAD 27-NOV-03 (North side) Little Weghill Farmhouse

II Farmhouse. 1777, renovations of c1980. Brick in Flemish bond. Clay tile roof. Double-depth plan, with 2-room, central entrance-hall south front. 2 storeys with attic, 3 bays; symmetrical. Step to C20 half-glazed door in architrave, flanked by unequal 15-pane flush sashes. 16-pane first-floor sashes. Wrought-iron brackets to gutter. Tumbled-in brick to raised gables. End stacks. Returns have ground and first-floor sashes with glazing bars, inserted C20 bow window to left, blocked attic doors. INTERIOR: 5-bay pegged pine roof with 2 tiers of staggered butt purlins and collars carrying king posts and raking struts. HISTORY: The date 1777 was inscribed on a brick on the contemporary barn to rear. This barn is not included on the list.
