Description
The stable and coach house at Eastgate House dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a graduated slate roof. The building is single storey with a loft and consists of two bays.
On the ground floor, there are early 20th century boarded doors in a timber projection on the right, and a sash window with a sill and glazing bars beneath a wedge lintel on the left. The loft has two blank oval panels set in gauged brick surrounds. The gable end facing the street includes a coach entrance, which is now bricked up, featuring impost blocks that support an elliptical arch. There is also a round-headed opening with margin-pane glazing, a sill, and an impost band at the gable. The building has raised coped gables and an end stack.
