Description
Cottingham Railway Station is a railway station built in 1846, likely designed by G T Andrews for the York and North Midland Railway. The station is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof. It is a single-storey building with six bays, a plinth, and a sill band. The front has six sash windows with glazing bars, all set beneath cambered gauged brick arches. The platform side has similar windows, but they are more scattered, along with four boarded doors that are placed under segmental gauged brick arches. The building has oversailing eaves, axial stacks, and a hipped roof.
