Description

Sewerby Grange is a mid-19th century Gothic building, believed to have been designed by the architect Scott. It is constructed of yellow brick with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and attics, with a moulded string course between the ground and first floors. There are two gables, each two storeys high, and an arched window in the attic. On the first floor, there is one window consisting of two trefoil-headed lancets set in an arched frame, along with a central window featuring two similar lancet lights in a rectangular frame. The ground floor includes a canted stone bay with four similar lights and a segmental window with cusped lights, as well as one window with two cusped lights to the right. This building was formerly used as the Vicarage.
