Description
Lodge Number 16 of Sewerby House is a mid-19th century single-storey building constructed of yellow brick with ashlar dressings. It features a hipped slate roof with a central stack, stone moulded eaves cornice, and a blocking course. The building has rusticated quoins and a plinth. There are two windows with stone surrounds and keystones, which are hung sashes with glazing bars, flanking a doorway that has plain pilasters and a moulded cornice. The door consists of six panels. This lodge is part of a group that includes Sewerby House, a terrace balustrade, an attached garden wall, an archway to Sewerby House, a courtyard archway, a conservatory, a stable block, an old laundry, and the Gate House.
