Description
The conservatory to the east of Sewerby House is a Grade II* listed building from the mid-19th century, designed in the Paxton style. It features a plain rectangular structure with a brick base and plain yellow brick pilasters topped with stone capitals. The central door is flanked by single windows, and there are three hung sash windows with glazing bars. The roof has been re-roofed and has a slight curve. A cornice and blocking course rise to a central label, and there are three steps leading up to the entrance. This conservatory is part of a group that includes Sewerby House, a terrace balustrade, an attached garden wall, an archway to Sewerby House, a courtyard archway, a stable block, an old laundry, the Gate House, and the Lodge.
