LEAFIELD LOWER END SP3115 (South side) 9/64 Nos.1 and 2 The Vicarage 19/11/87 GV II

Vicarage, now vicarage and dwelling. Circa 1858. By Sir George Gilbert Scott. Squared coursed stone; C20 plain-tile complex roof; stone stacks. Complex plan. Gothic Revival style. 2-storey, 4-bay range. Stone gabled porch to right of centre with 2-centred arch having trefoiled inner order. 2-centre arched doorway with plank door having decorative wrought-iron hinges. Irregular fenestration of stone mullion and transom windows. Interior: open-well staircase. Panelled doors with decorative wood surround. Original mid C19 stone fireplaces to most rooms.
