Description
The Vicarage is a building that dates from around 1858, designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott. It serves as both a vicarage and a dwelling. The structure is made of squared coursed stone and features a complex roof covered with plain tiles from the 20th century, along with stone stacks. It is built in the Gothic Revival style and consists of a two-storey, four-bay range.
A stone gabled porch is located to the right of the center, featuring a two-centred arch with a trefoiled inner order. The entrance includes a two-centre arched doorway with a plank door that has decorative wrought-iron hinges. The windows exhibit irregular fenestration, consisting of stone mullion and transom designs.
Inside, there is an open-well staircase, panelled doors with decorative wood surrounds, and original mid-19th century stone fireplaces in most rooms.
