Description

A terrace of six houses located on Park Road, Bebington, built in 1895 as part of the Port Sunlight model village development, designed by T.M. Lockwood. The houses are constructed of brick with timber framing to the first floor, all set beneath a slate roof with a tile ridge. The two-storey terrace is six bays wide. The first floor is jettied, with the central and end bays featuring projecting gables. A decorative sill course is present on the ground floor, and decorative timber framing adorns the gabled bays. The ground-floor windows are mostly 4-light transomed bay windows, whilst the second and fifth bays feature canted windows. The first floor has 4-light canted oriels, and 4-light windows in the second and fifth bays. The entrances have decorative lintels and plank doors fitted with small-paned windows. A chimney stack is located in the central position, with additional return stacks. The rear elevation is similar in detailing, and includes privies.
