Description
Nos. 75 to 78 Greendale Road is a terrace of four houses built in 1891 by William Owen. The houses are constructed of brick with stone dressings, featuring tile-hanging with fishscale bands and a tiled roof. They are two storeys high and consist of three bays, with the second bay projecting under a jettied tile-hung gable. The buildings have a weathered base and deep eaves. Most of the windows are small-paned casements, except for those in the first and second bays of the ground floor, which have gauged-brick cambered arches and sashes with upper glazing bars, paired in the second bay. The third bay on the ground floor features a canted oriel window with three sets of three lights. On the first floor, there is a four-light canted oriel in the second bay, while the flanking bays have gableted windows in tile-hung surrounds, with three lights to the left and two plus two lights to the right. The entrances have stone lintels, plank doors, and recessed bootscrapers. The entrance to the right of the second bay is in a lateral lean-to porch with tile-hanging, while the entrance to the third bay has a flanking light and cornice. The terrace also features two cross-axial stacks.
