Description
Number 6 Duncan Street is a house, currently used as offices, built around 1830. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has three storeys and a five-window range. It has a single-depth plan with a central entrance hall and an off-set stair leading to the rear, along with a two-storey rear wing. The entrance consists of a plain central door with an overlight, and each floor has 12-pane sash windows with flat-arched painted brick heads. The window heads are concealed by a heavy wooden eaves cornice on the second storey. There is also a tall 24-pane sash stair window on the right-hand return. The building has coped gables and end wall stacks.
