Description
11 and 13 Market Street is a pair of shops built around 1842. The building features an ashlar facade with rustication on the ground floor and has a Welsh slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has a seven-window range. The central area has an early 20th-century shop front, with a door and window on either side, both having round-arched heads. The left side has paired doors, while the right side has a part-glazed panelled door. The upper windows are twelve-pane sashes, each with moulded stressed architraves, and there is a segmental pediment above the central window. Moulded sill bands are present on each floor, and there are blank panels below the modillion eaves cornice. The building has brick stacks on the axial and end walls.
