Description
This is a terrace of five houses, numbered 9 to 17, located on Park Road in Port Sunlight. Built in 1894 by William Owen, the houses are constructed of brick with timber-framed first floors and a tile roof. The terrace comprises two storeys and five gabled bays. The first floor is jettied, supported by decorative brackets, and the jettied gables feature decorative bargeboards and finials terminating in heraldic beasts. The windows are small-paned casements, with three lights per window. The ground floor features rectangular oriels and bow windows at each end, all with timbered coving. The entrances have stone lintels and three-panel doors with small-paned glass. The building incorporates four cross-axial stacks and two return lateral stacks. Decorative rainwater heads adorn the exterior. The rear elevation is similar in design and includes privies.
