Description
A terrace of four houses at 19-22 Windy Bank, Bebington, built in 1913 by J. Lomax Simpson as part of the Port Sunlight estate. The houses are roughcast above a brick base to sill level, with a swept hipped tile roof. They are two storeys high and four bays wide, with a two-bay canted return. A dripmould runs over the ground floor windows. The windows are leaded casements, mostly of three lights. The second bay features a five-light canted bay window, while the fourth bay has a four-light canted bay window above a projecting four-light window with a panel below. The building has stone quoins to the battered base. The entrances are sheltered by flat canopies and have doors with small-paned glass. The left return is similar in design. The terrace has two cross-axial stacks and two rear stacks. The right return adjoins the Resident's Club on King George's Drive.
