Description

The enclosing wall and gateway to the forecourt of Bidston Hall is a garden wall and main gateway dating from the late 16th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared stone. The wall features a plinth and segmental coping, enclosing the forecourt and providing a central entrance. The wall rises over a segmental archway adorned with pendant voussoirs, which is capped by three domed finials.
