Description
The farm buildings at Bidston Hall Farmhouse are part of the former Bidston Hall estate and date from the late 18th century. They are constructed from coursed and squared rubble with Welsh slate roofs and are arranged in an L-plan. The main range was built in two phases, with the eastern bay being a slightly later addition. This range includes a series of nine stables, each featuring a doorway and window framed in plain stone architraves, although some doors are now blocked. There are small square loft openings above the stables.
To the west, the main range is connected to another stable or byre range by a lower block that has a cart entrance leading to the rear. The stable or byre block has an outshut against the east wall, which includes two doors and windows. The gable wall features moulded arched doors in a lean-to, as well as a four-centred arched doorway with a flanking window in the main building.
