Description

Yew Tree Farmhouse is a timber-framed farmhouse with an attached barn, dating from 1697, although it has earlier origins. The farmhouse has roughly coursed and squared stone cladding, a slate roof, and some corrugated sheeting over thatch. It is two storeys high, with a three-unit plan, featuring a roughly central door within a gabled porch, which has a stone mullioned window to the left. There is a three-light mullioned window to the right of the porch, and a four-light window in the gable above, with a datestone at the gable apex. End wall-stacks are present. A barn range is attached to the right, with four bays of exposed timber framing. Both the barn and farmhouse have cruck framing internally.
