Description

A row of four houses at 61-67 Corniche Road, Bebington, Port Sunlight, built in 1898 by Huon A. Matear. The houses are constructed of brick with a tile gambrel roof. They comprise one storey with an attic, arranged over four bays. The end bays are under gambrel gables, with the bay to the first house featuring a round-ended projection under a steep roof with a spike finial. The windows are triple-sash with glazing bars, and the central bays have paired, flat-topped dormers containing two-light casements with small panes. The entrances have small-paned lights with leaded glazing; those to the central bays are set within round-headed recesses, and the entrance to the end bay has a flat canopy. There are one cross-axial chimney stack, two return lateral chimney stacks, and two to the rear. The rear elevation is similar and includes privies.
