Description
Nos. 306 and 308 on New Chester Road are a pair of houses built in 1898 by T. T. Rees. They are constructed of brick with some timber framing and feature a tiled roof. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of two bays, with the first bay projecting under a diapered gable. There is corbelling above the ground floor.
The windows are leaded casements with transoms. On the ground floor, there is a four-light window in the first bay and a five-light canted bay window in the second bay, along with a single light window to the right. The first floor has a four-light window in the first bay and paired two-light casements in the second bay.
The left side of the building features a gabled timber-framed two-storey porch with round arches and a plank door with strap hinges, while the right side has a similar entrance. There is a lateral stack on the right side of the first bay and gable-end stacks. The rear of the houses is similar, with paired asymmetrical gables and privies.
