Description
A row of six houses located on Brook Street, Bebington, built in 1901 by Grayson and Ould as part of the Port Sunlight model village. The houses are constructed with roughcast over a brick base, incorporating some timber framing, and have tile roofs. They are arranged over two storeys and are seven bays wide. The first and second bays have a jettied first floor, the third bay projects forwards under a gable, and the end bay is recessed under its gable. The first two gables have timber framing to the first floor, along with the gable of the end bay, all featuring weatherboarded canopies over the windows. A timber band runs above the ground floor. The ground floor windows are four-light casements, whilst the fourth, fifth, and sixth bays feature three-light rectangular bay windows with flat roofs, with flat canopies sheltering the entrances between the fourth and fifth bays. The first floor windows are two and three-light casements, with those on the fourth, fifth and sixth bays housed within gabled half-dormers. Two chimney stacks run across the front of the houses, topped with brick caps. The left-hand return features a rectangular bay window, and the right-hand return has a jettied first floor and projecting lateral chimney stacks.
