Description
Oxton Old Hall is a small house, likely built in the early 17th century. It features coursed and squared rubble with a plain tiled roof and stands two stories high. The building has a small two-unit plan with a later parallel gabled wing. There is a high plinth at the ground floor. The doorway is located to the left within an added gabled porch, and there is a three-light ovolo moulded mullioned window with a hood mould. Above, there are similar windows with two and three lights. The house has a stone stack at the internal corner of the fireplace on the left-hand gable, and a brick and stone stack that may have been inserted on the right gable. A large conservatory was added to the rear in the later 19th century.
