Description

This is a terrace of four houses located on Greendale Road, Port Sunlight, built in 1891 by William Owen. The houses are constructed of brick with stone dressings, incorporating tile-hanging with fishscale bands, and have a tile roof. The left-hand end of the roof is half-hipped with a gablet.

The houses are two storeys high and three bays wide. Most windows are small-paned casements. They feature deep eaves. The central bay has a two-storey canted bay window with tile-hanging on the first floor and a gable above. It also has paired three-light windows. The end bay has a window with a stone lintel and paired sashes with upper glazing bars. The first floor of the end bays has four-light canted oriels. The entrances are protected by flat stone canopies and lintels, and feature four-panel doors with a three-light window above. Recessed boot scrapers are present. Three stacks are positioned across the front of the houses.

The left return features a projecting gabled wing with tile-hung first floor and a ground-floor sash window with a gauged-brick cambered arch. The left return of this wing has a lateral stack, and the right return an entrance.
