Description
Number 19 is a house located in Rock Park, Rock Ferry, built around 1836. It features a rusticated ashlar ground floor and a Welsh slate roof, showcasing a Neo-classical style. The house is two storeys high with a three-window range and a double-pile plan, centered around an entrance. The door has an overlight and a pedimented canopy supported by brackets, with 12-pane sash windows on the left. To the right, there is a full-height bow with tripartite sashes, all adorned with moulded architraves and entablatures. The building has a moulded cornice and a parapet, with end wall stacks. To the left, there is a lower two-storey service range with four windows, which was recessed and later extended in the 19th or early 20th century. The property is flanked by square gate piers that have recessed panels and shallow pyramidal caps. This house is part of the original development of Rock Park, designed by J. Bennison in 1836.
