Description
Nugent House is a special school housed in a building that was originally a house, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stone and topped with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. It features a first-floor sill band and a cornice at the top. The windows have flat jambs, wedge lintels, and 4/4 sash designs. The central entrance has a segmental head, an inset Doric doorcase, and a complete fanlight, with a three-panel door that has fielded panels. There are brick stacks at each end of the building. The right side has some sash windows with glazing bars. Inside, there is a dog-leg staircase with wooden balusters and iron panels.
