Description
Lime Vale is a farmhouse dating from 1733, as indicated by the date stone above the entrance. The building is constructed of stone with a stone slate roof, although the right side has been rebuilt in brick. It stands two storeys high and has three bays, with the first bay featuring a low gabled wing. The windows are three-light mullioned types, all except the first-floor window in the wing having transoms and drip moulds. The entrance is located between the second and third bays and features an architrave with a segmental hood, along with a six-panel door that has fielded panels, the upper ones being round-headed. There are three small brick cross-axial stacks on the roof.
