Description
Great Houghwood Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of stone and features a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has an L-shaped plan. The windows are now casements, but there are remains of original mullion windows on the right return. The recessed entrance has a massive lintel with a Tudor-arched head. On the left return, there is a large external stack. Inside, the farmhouse includes some chamfered beams and a large segmental-headed fireplace.
